Cherry Microwave Granola Bars (A Recipe From Ann Scates, Be
- 1 c Brown sugar
- 1/4 c Sugar
- 1/2 c Softened margarine
- 2 tb Honey
- 1/2 ts Vanilla
- 1 Egg
- 1 c Flour
- 1 ts Cinnamon
- 1/2 ts Baking powder
- 1/4 ts Salt
- 1 1/2 c Quick cooking oats
- 1 1/4 c Crisp rice cereal
- 1 c Chopped almonds
- 1 c Raisins
- 1/2 c Wheat germ
Grease 13 x 9-inch microwave-safe baking dish. Cream sugars and margarine
until fluffy. Add honey, vanilla and egg; mix well. Blend in flour, baking
powder and spices. Finally, stir in remaining dry ingredients. Pour into
dish. Microwave on 6 or 60% for 7 to 9 minutes or until set. Rotate dish
every 3 minutes. Bars will firm up as they stand.
