Daddy's Hot Water Sponge
- Egg yolks (from Angel Food
- -cake)
- 1/2 c Water, boiling
- 1 tb Vanilla extract, or more
- 1 1/2 c Flour
- 1 1/2 c Sugar
- 1 tb Baking powder
- 1/2 ts Salt
- 3 tb Cocoa
Prepare loaf pan with Pam spray; preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Sift together the flour and sugar with the baking powder, salt and cocoa.
Beat eggs; pour in boiling water and vanilla. Stir eggs into flour mixture.
Pour batter into pan and bake until done.
