Miriam's Apple Cake
- 1 c Margarine
- 1 1/2 c Sugar
- 3 lg Eggs
- 3 c Flour
- 1 1/2 ts Baking soda
- 1 pn Mace; optional
- 1/2 ts Salt
- 1 ts Cinnamon
- 2 ts Vanilla
- 2 tb Whiskey, brandy, liqueur or
- -sweet wine
- 3 c Apples; peeled, cored,
- -chopped or shredded
- 1 c Walnuts; chopped, or pecans
- 1 c Chocolate chips
Cream margarine and sugar till fluffy, beat in eggs. Sift dry ingredients
and add gradually. Fold in remaining ingredients. Spoon into a greased and
floured 10" tube pan or 12"x17" rectangular pan. Bake at 350 about an hour
or till done.
