Oat Apple Crumble
- 8 Dessert apples; peeled and
- ; quartered
- 6 ts Granulated unrefined sugar
- 8 tb Wholemeal flour
- 4 tb Rolled oats
- 4 tb Low fat spread
- 4 ts Granulated unrefined sugar;
- -(for crumble
- ; topping)
Poach the apples in just enough water to wet them with the sugar over a low
heat. When they are soft, place them in an ovenproof dish. Rub the flour,
oats spread and sugar together to make a mixture which resembles
breadcrumbs. Use this to cover the apples.
Bake in the oven at 190øC/375øF/gas mark 5 for about 20 minutes, or until
the top is crisp.
