Substitution Applesauce (Motts)
- ------------------------------------TEXT------------------------------------
Tip#1. Substituting one cup of Mott's Apple Sauce for one cup of oil,
butter, margarine or shortening gives you the same great taste and texture,
but with a lot less fat and calories.
Tip#2. Sometimes, like in cake, muffin or quick bread recipes, replace
butter or oil with a combination of half Mott's Apple Sauce and half
buttermilk."
Tip#3. See "Orange Spice Coffee Cake" revised (Calorie Control
Council,1998); where I used diet margarine, apple sauce and buttermilk for
a crumb-coffee cake: it had good texture.--Pat
